The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an internationally respected institution, a thriving global network of 25,000 medical professionals, pioneering in the advancement of surgical breakthrough and patient care since 1505. But today, our remit of care has expanded. We now offer cutting-edge hospitality, operating multiple venues in Edinburgh’s iconic old town, in an area we call Surgeons Quarter. Visitors can now meet, celebrate and stay, all in one Edinburgh city centre location. So while we continue to lead the way in surgical practice, we’re now applying the same world-class standard of care in hospitality.

Our Partnership with Ecologi
Your time with us can have a positive impact on the planet. When staying at Ten Hill Place Hotel for two nights or more why not choose to opt out of housekeeping and we’ll offset half a tonne (500kg) of C02e per night by financially supporting carbon avoidance projects through Ecologi. Simply add the hanger to the outside of your door to take part.
The new collaboration with Ecologi has already resulted in 100 tonnes of CO2e offset through a milestone project in Thailand. 100 tones of CO2e is equivalent of 77 long haul flights London to San Francisco, or 248,100 miles driven in a car. The next project set to receive support is an onshore wind power initiative in Sri Lanka – with projects set to change every four months.
